Job summary

Placements24 seeks a dynamic Shift Supervisor to lead the manufacturing team across shifts in Paarl. You will oversee day-to-day production, ensuring targets for productivity, quality, and safety are met, and you will guide staff to maintain efficient operations in our production facility.

The ideal candidate has proven supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong knowledge of production processes and quality controls, and excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Shift Supervisor or similar supervisory role in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, machinery, and quality control systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make timely decisions.
• Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a safe work culture.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the activities of production personnel during assigned shifts.
• Ensure that production targets are met efficiently and quality standards are maintained.
• Monitor operations for safety compliance, promptly addressing any hazards.
• Train and mentor new and existing team members on production procedures and best practices.
• Manage shift handover processes to ensure continuity of operations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement immediate solutions to minimize disruption.
