The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day finance, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while ensuring statutory compliance and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Financial Manager or senior finance role.
• Manufacturing environment experience - essential.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
• Experience managing and motivating a finance team.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, journals, AP/AR and statutory requirements.
• Attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving ability.
• Able to work independently, under pressure adhering to tight deadlines.
• Hands-on, professional and commercially minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day finance function and finance team.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial reports.
• Oversee reconciliations, journals, debtors, creditors and payment processes.
• Manage VAT, PAYE, Customs and other statutory tax requirements.
• Analyse costs, pricing, margins and actual performance against budget.
• Maintain effective financial controls, accounting procedures and fixed asset records.
• Manage external audits and ensure statutory compliance.
• Provide management with accurate financial information and meaningful business analysis.
• Oversee banking, foreign exchange, supplier and other financial processes.
