Our client is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their team in Somerset West, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, strong computer literacy, and a relevant tertiary qualification such as BCom Accounting, BAcc, BBA, or MBA. Experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment will be advantageous, while professional affiliation with recognized accounting bodies such as CIMA, SAIPA, or SAICA will be considered beneficial. REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES
Financial Leadership:
- Provide strategic financial leadership, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modelling.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information.
- Manage cash flow, treasury operations, banking relationships, and capital management strategies.
- Ensure adherence to all tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Administration & Operational Leadership:
- Provide oversight of key support functions, including HR, IT, legal, compliance, and facilities management.
- Develop and implement efficient operational processes, systems, and internal controls to support business growth.
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure resources are aligned with organisational objectives.
- Drive initiatives focused on operational excellence, cost optimization, and effective supplier management.
Risk Management & Governance:
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance-related risks.
- Strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management policies.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain business continuity and risk mitigation strategies.
Strategic Partnership:
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on business strategy and operational matters.
- Deliver data-driven insights, financial analysis, and scenario planning to support informed decision-making.
- Represent the organization in engagements with banks, investors, auditors, and government stakeholders.
General Management & Departmental Oversight:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to key departments, including Finance, HR, and Inventory Management.
- Establish departmental goals, KPIs, and performance objectives aligned with the company’s strategic priorities.
- Lead performance management processes, providing coaching, guidance, and development support to department heads.
- Ensure departments are appropriately structured, resourced, and equipped to achieve operational objectives.
- Provide regular reporting to the CEO on departmental performance, risks, and resource requirements.
