Job summary

Greys Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator for a temporary fixed-term contract opportunity based in Hillcrest, Durban. The successful candidate will coordinate maintenance activities between site teams, contractors and clients, ensuring that work orders are scheduled, monitored and completed efficiently using CMMS.

The role also supports the accuracy and integrity of maintenance records and asset data within the CMMS, and will assist in testing system workflows while

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in maintenance coordination, planning or administration in industrial or service maintenance.
• Working knowledge of a CMMS or maintenance management system.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign and update maintenance work orders in the CMMS.
• Monitor work order progress and follow up on outstanding or overdue tasks.
• Coordinate site access, permits, parts and other prerequisites for scheduled maintenance.
• Review work orders for completeness and maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and site teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Monitor contractor attendance, job completion and performance records.
• Escalate delays, safety concerns and operational issues to management.
• Maintain asset data and support the accuracy of maintenance dashboards and reports.
• Assist with testing system workflows and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
