Job summary

Profile Personnel is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for a busy manufacturing environment. You will plan, track, and coordinate maintenance activities to maximise equipment uptime and production efficiency.

The role requires strong planning, organizational and communication skills, with experience in maintenance coordination and administration. Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS is advantageous, and mechanical or electrical engineering studies are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant maintenance coordination or administration experience.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems is advantageous.
• Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering studies would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and issue preventative maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.
• Monitor maintenance activities to ensure timely repairs and servicing.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Liaise with Plant & Facilities Manager on progress and issues.
• Communicate machine status with Production teams and planning.
• Operate and maintain the maintenance management system for planning and reporting.

Job description

Are you highly organised with a passion for maintenance planning and coordination? We are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to join a busy manufacturing environment, ensuring maintenance activities are effectively planned, tracked, and executed to maximise equipment uptime and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and issue preventative maintenance schedules for machinery, tooling, and plant equipment.
• Monitor maintenance activities to ensure repairs and servicing are completed on time.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and documentation.
• Liaise with the Plant & Facilities Manager regarding maintenance progress and outstanding issues.
• Communicate machine and tooling status with Production and Production Planning teams.
• Coordinate and manage TPM Level 1 & 2 audits.
• Control critical maintenance spare parts inventory and ensure stock accuracy.
• Purchase and expedite maintenance spare parts as required.
• Update maintenance plans and process documentation based on technician feedback.
• Operate and maintain the maintenance management system for accurate planning and reporting.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant maintenance coordination or administration experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems will be advantageous.
• Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering studies would be advantageous.
