Job summary

Together Staffing group is seeking a Maintenance Planner to oversee maintenance planning in a heavy engineering environment in Gauteng. The role focuses on developing preventive maintenance strategies, coordinating plant shutdowns and ensuring available resources for maintenance work.

The ideal candidate will have strong CMMS knowledge, analytical and planning skills, and experience in shutdown planning and reliability improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Matric required with strong technical understanding.
• Trade Test or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 5–7 years of maintenance planning experience in heavy engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience with CMMS, maintenance planning and asset management.
• Strong analytical, organisational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop preventative and predictive maintenance schedules for critical plant equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance shutdowns, inspections and repair activities.
• Maintain asset history and maintenance documentation using a CMMS.
• Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, contractors and maintenance resources.
• Analyse maintenance data to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
• Support reliability-centred maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and maintenance teams to optimise plant performance.

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Planner to manage maintenance operations in their heavy engineering facility in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning preventative maintenance activities, coordinating plant shutdowns and managing maintenance schedules

Key Responsibilities

• Develop preventative and predictive maintenance schedules for critical plant equipment
• Coordinate maintenance shutdowns, inspections, and repair activities
• Maintain asset history and maintenance documentation using a CMMS
• Ensure the availability of spare parts, tools, contractors, and maintenance resources

Minimum Requirements
