Qualifications

• Grade 12 is essential.
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor is essential.
• Previous lodge experience is preferred.
• Good technical understanding of plumbing, carpentry and electrical systems.
• Understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Basic vehicle servicing experience is required.
• Road maintenance experience is required.
• Solar systems experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of facilities, machinery and equipment.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, initiative and interpersonal skills.
• Presentable, well-spoken and professional.

• Oversee maintenance of the lodge, business areas and facilities, including buildings, fixtures, furniture, equipment, landscaping, gardens and recreational areas.
• Implement preventative maintenance programmes to extend equipment lifespan.
• Manage maintenance stock control and achieve the expense budget.
• Ensure HACCP principles are maintained in kitchens, bars and food production areas.
• Ensure all work meets company standards.
• Lead the maintenance team according to relevant laws and procedures.
• Communicate with guests, conduct satisfaction checks and provide feedback.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Hospitality and Outdoor is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a luxury lodge in the Hoedspruit Region. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional with proven maintenance leadership experience to oversee the lodge’s technical operations, facilities, grounds, equipment and infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable day-to-day operations while maintaining high company standards, guest satisfaction and preventative maintenance practices. This role suits a practical leader who can work independently, manage priorities effectively and respond quickly to operational issues in a remote lodge environment. Strong communication and planning skills are essential. Lodge experience, strong technical knowledge and practical problem-solving ability will be advantageous in this Maintenance Manager position.
