Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator in Cape Town to keep a complex M365 environment running smoothly. You’ll handle Exchange Online, Teams, Purview, and tenant-to-tenant migrations, balancing robust mail flow with compliance needs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of M365 administration, PowerShell scripting, and experience with domain migrations, DNS updates, and Entra ID/conditional access. Certifications such as MS-203, MS-700, or SC-400 are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years administering Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience with Exchange Online, Teams and Purview.
• Experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations using BitTitan MigrationWiz.
• Experience with domain migrations, DNS updates and registrar transfers.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Microsoft 365 administration and compliance tasks.
• Perform tenant migrations and verify post-migration integrity.
• Maintain and document mail flow rules and retention policies.
• Assist with hybrid Exchange and Entra ID/conditional access configurations.

What you'll bring:

• 3+ years administering Microsoft 365 environments
• Strong expertise in Exchange Online, Teams, and Microsoft Purview
• Hands-on experience with BitTitan MigrationWiz for tenant-to-tenant migrations
• Comfort managing domain migrations, DNS updates, and registrar transfers
• Solid PowerShell scripting skills for automation and reporting
• Experience with email journaling, DLP, retention policies, and eDiscovery
• Bonus: MS-203, MS-700, SC-400 or related Microsoft certifications; hybrid Exchange and Entra ID / conditional access experience
