Job summary

Solvex Solutions is seeking anexperienced Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer to lead tenant-to-tenant transitions across enterprise environments. You will combine hands-on migration work with identity, messaging, collaboration and endpoint migration tasks.

The role requires practical experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID, with hybrid identity configurations. On-site client delivery with occasional outside-hours support is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations including enterprise separations.
• Practical work across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect and hybrid identity setups.
• Experience with mailbox permissions, cross-tenant coexistence, and mail flow.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain migration schedules, runbooks, cutover plans and recovery procedures.
• Execute pilot migrations, pre-staging, synchronisation and production waves.
• Map users, groups, mailboxes and permissions between environments.
• Support identity transitions, messaging, collaboration and endpoint migrations.
• Configure device enrolment, permissions, security and user readiness.
• Investigate failures, coordinate withengineering teams and resolve issues.
• Verify post-migration functionality across email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Provide user assistance during migration events and post-migration support.
• Coordinate with project managers, vendors and client stakeholders.

The organisation is seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer to deliver tenant-to-tenant transitions across enterprise environments. The successful candidate will combine hands-on migration expertise with identity management, messaging, collaboration and endpoint migration skills.

Candidates should have practical experience with:

• Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, including enterprise separation, consolidation or divestiture projects.
• Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 Groups.
• Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Entra Connect and hybrid identity configurations.
• Exchange mail flow, mailbox permissions and cross-tenant coexistence arrangements.
• Microsoft Intune, endpoint enrolment, device readiness and compliance management.
• PowerShell scripting for administration, reporting and automation.
• Enterprise migration utilities and platforms, with the ability to work across hybrid and cloud-only environments.
• Migration planning, technical troubleshooting, stakeholder communication and structured project delivery.

The ideal candidate will be organised, analytical and comfortable supporting business-critical migrations, including occasional out-of-hours activities when required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain migration schedules, technical runbooks, cutover plans, checklists and recovery procedures.
• Execute pilot migrations, pre-staging, incremental synchronisation and production migration waves.
• Map users, groups, mailboxes, permissions and workloads between source and destination environments.
• Support identity transitions, messaging services, collaboration platforms and endpoint migration activities.
• Configure and validate device enrolment, access permissions, security compliance and user readiness.
• Investigate migration failures, resolve technical issues and coordinate escalations with specialist engineering teams.
• Verify post-migration functionality across email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, devices and business applications.
• Provide hands-on user assistance during migration events, cutovers and post-migration support periods.
• Work closely with project managers, technical teams, service desk personnel, vendors and client stakeholders to coordinate delivery.
• Communicate progress, risks, outstanding issues and remediation actions through regular project updates and status reports.
• Contribute to end-user communications, migration readiness planning, post-migration stabilisation and operational handover.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, issue logs and project records throughout the migration lifecycle.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, business divestitures or tenant consolidation programmes.
• Previous involvement in complex migrations across multiple business units or large user populations.
• Strong understanding of hybrid Active Directory, cloud identity and cross-tenant access arrangements.
• Experience with endpoint transformation, device transfers and enterprise Intune deployments.
• Background in IT consulting, managed services or client-facing technology delivery.
• Familiarity with collaboration and task management applications used for project coordination.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365 administration, identity and access, collaboration, endpoint management or Azure administration.

On-site delivery at the designated client location, with flexibility to support planned migration windows outside standard business hours when necessary.
