Job summary

Kontak Recruitment in Johannesburg is seeking two Reservations Agents to join Melrose Arch’s team. You will manage bookings, tailor itineraries and ensure accurate reservations for guests, travel agents and operators.

Requirements include 2–3 years in reservations, experience with PMS (ResRequest, PANStrat, Opera) and excellent English. The role offers R20 000–R25 000 CTC per month in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in a reservations role, preferably luxury hospitality.
• Experience using reservations or property management systems such as ResRequest, PANStrat, Opera.
• Excellent written and verbal English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings.
• Genuine interest in African travel, conservation and high-end guest service.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reservation enquiries by phone, email and online platforms with personalised assistance.
• Manage the full booking process from initial enquiry to confirmation and pre-arrival arrangements.
• Maintain accurate guest records and booking information in the systems.
• Build relationships with travel agents, tour operators and guests to support repeat business.
• Coordinate with front office, operations, sales and finance to ensure guest arrangements.
• Process amendments, cancellations and special requests promptly.
• Monitor deposits, invoicing and payments in line with company policies.
• Keep guests informed about seasonal offers and conservation initiatives.
• Assist the Reservations Manager with reporting and database maintenance.
