Job summary

HotelJobs is recruiting on behalf of an intimate luxury safari lodge within Welgevonden Game Reserve for an experienced Lodge Manager. The role is hands-on, guest-focused and involves day-to-day operations with a small team in a remote bush environment.

The successful candidate will have prior lodge/camp leadership experience, exceptional guest relations and a passion for personalised hospitality. Live-in arrangements apply, with a salary of R25 000–R26 000 negotiable.

Qualifications

• Experience as Lodge/ Camp/ Front of House manager or similar senior operational role.
• Experience in a small, intimate luxury lodge operation preferred.
• Excellent guest relations and hosting skills.
• Warm, engaging, confident with guests and staff.
• Hands-on approach and ability to lead by example.
• Willing to assist across departments as needed.
• Strong FOH understanding and high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of an intimate luxury safari lodge.
• Be highly visible to guests and staff and engage on the floor.
• Lead a small team and manage cross-department support when required.
• Ensure high standards of presentation, service and hospitality.
