Job summary

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in a similar safari lodge operations position.
• Experience in running all aspects of the lodge departments.
• Excellent knowledge of food and beverage and service.
• Strong leadership, communication and people skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office (especially Excel), ResRequest and Sage POS.
• Organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of wildlife conservation and sustainable practices.
• Willingness to assist in all departments.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• A valid driver’s licence with driving experience, including confidence in driving a manual vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all lodge departments and daily operations.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and handle guest concerns with personalised service.
• Train, schedule and manage lodge staff performance.
• Uphold health and safety standards and sustainability practices.
• Balance financial targets with resource management.
