Job summary

The Richards Bay Luxury Resort is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead all operations and set the strategic direction for a premier coastal destination.

You will oversee accommodation, F&B, leisure, sales and marketing, drive profitability, manage budgets, and ensure exceptional guest experiences while upholding brand standards.

The role demands a track record in luxury hospitality, strong financial acumen, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team in Richards Bay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in hospitality management with at least 5 years as GM or Senior AGM.
• Track record in profitability and guest satisfaction in luxury resorts.
• Strong financial management: P&L, budgeting, forecasting, capex.
• Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills for large teams.
• Knowledge of tourism in Richards Bay and KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the resort's operations.
• Manage all departments to ensure high service standards and efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to meet financial targets and growth.
• Oversee budgets, financial performance, and cost control measures.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and legal regulations.
