Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee the lodge restaurant, ensuring five-star dining experiences and high service standards. You will manage staff, coordinate with kitchen, bar, and lodge management, and maintain exemplary restaurant presentation.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in restaurant management within luxury settings, strong leadership, and extensive knowledge of food, wine, and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management or related qualification.
• 3–5 years' Restaurant Management or senior F&B experience, preferably in a luxury lodge, five-star hotel or fine-dining.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and five-star service standards.
• Proven staff management and leadership experience.
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge.
• Experience with stock control and cost management.
• Computer literate with MS Office and POS systems.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and health & safety requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operation (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, housekeeping, and lodge management.
• Lead and train waiters, hosts, and staff; manage rosters.
• Maintain five-star service standards and ambience.
• Monitor stock, costs, and invoicing; assist budgeting.
