Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality is seeking a General Manager to run a luxury lodge, overseeing all departments and driving guest satisfaction while protecting the bottom line. You will manage budgets, mentor department heads and ensure five-star service in a remote bush environment.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen and hands-on oversight of maintenance, procurement and operational reporting to owners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as GM or AGM in luxury lodge or high-end hospitality.
• Proven track record managing multi-department operations (F&B, housekeeping, guiding, spa, maintenance).
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost control and revenue management.
• Solid understanding of maintenance in a remote lodge setting.
• Excellent staff leadership, training and performance management.
• High standards of guest relations with calm issue resolution.
• Comfortable living and working in a remote bush environment.
• Strong administrative and reporting ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day lodge operations across all departments.
• Mentor heads of department and uphold five-star standards.
• Drive guest satisfaction by addressing feedback and concerns.
• Manage budgets, control costs and report financial performance.
• Coordinate maintenance and liaise with ownership on capex.
• Oversee stock control and procurement across the operation.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards meet policy.
• Support management on strategic and revenue initiatives.
