Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality is seeking a General Manager to run a luxury lodge, overseeing all departments and driving guest satisfaction while protecting the bottom line. You will manage budgets, mentor department heads and ensure five-star service in a remote bush environment.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen and hands-on oversight of maintenance, procurement and operational reporting to owners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as GM or AGM in luxury lodge or high-end hospitality.
• Proven track record managing multi-department operations (F&B, housekeeping, guiding, spa, maintenance).
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost control and revenue management.
• Solid understanding of maintenance in a remote lodge setting.
• Excellent staff leadership, training and performance management.
• High standards of guest relations with calm issue resolution.
• Comfortable living and working in a remote bush environment.
• Strong administrative and reporting ability.

This is an established, high-end property offering game drives, fine dining, spa treatments and a small collection of premium suites, so the ideal candidate will be someone who can run a multi-department operation to five-star standard while keeping a close eye on guest experience and the bottom line.

Core Criteria:

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager within a luxury lodge or high-end hospitality environment
• Proven track record managing multi-department operations (F&B, housekeeping, guiding, spa, maintenance)
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control and revenue management
• Solid understanding of maintenance requirements in a remote lodge setting
• Excellent staff leadership, training and performance management skills
• High standards of guest relations and the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally
• Comfortable living and working in a remote, bush environment
• Strong administrative and reporting ability
