Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join a luxury lodge in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape. The role oversees day-to-day operations, guest relations and staff management to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences.

Candidates should have senior hospitality leadership experience in a luxury setting, with strong operations, training and communication skills and a hands-on approach in a remote lodge environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an Assistant General Manager, Lodge Manager or similar senior hospitality role.
• Experience in luxury lodge/hospitality environments is essential.
• Strong leadership and operational management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with overall lodge operations.
• Maintain exceptional guest service standards and hospitality.
• Support leadership and management of lodge staff.
• Ensure smooth daily operations across all departments.
• Assist with staff training and performance development.
• Oversee guest relations and personalise the guest experience.
• Assist with stock control, administration and financial procedures.
• Maintain high property standards and attention to detail.
