Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join a luxurious treetop lodge in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape.

You will support the General Manager with day-to-day operations, lead a team, and maintain outstanding guest service in a remote lodge setting to deliver a consistently personalised guest experience.

About the Opportunity Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join an exclusive luxury treetop lodge in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with the overall management and day-to-day operations of the lodge
• Maintain exceptional standards of guest service and hospitality
• Support the leadership and management of lodge staff
• Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations across all departments
• Assist with staff training, development and performance management
• Oversee guest relations and ensure a consistently personalised guest experience
• Assist with operational administration, stock control and financial procedures
• Maintain high standards across the property and ensure attention to detail at all times
• Step into the General Manager's role and take full operational responsibility when required

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in an Assistant General Manager, Lodge Manager or similar senior hospitality role
• Experience within a luxury lodge, hotel or high-end hospitality environment
• Strong leadership and operational management skills
• Excellent guest relations and communication abilities
• Professional, hands-on and solutions-driven approach
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
• High level of attention to detail
• Passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Ability to work in a remote lodge environment and adapt to the demands of lodge operations

Package

• Salary: R25,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
• Live-in accommodation provided
