Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lodge Manager to join a luxury lodge in the Greater Kruger area. This hands-on role requires overseeing day-to-day operations, leading a team and maintaining high standards of guest service for a memorable guest experience.

The successful candidate will have senior operational experience in a luxury lodge or safari setting, strong leadership, guest-relations skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to daily management.

Qualifications

• Experience as Lodge Manager or in a senior operational role.
• Luxury lodge/hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent guest-relations and communication abilities.
• Good administrative and organisational skills.
• Experience with budgets, stock control and operational reporting.
• Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure.
• Hands-on and willing to assist across departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily lodge operations and ensure high service standards.
• Lead, support and motivate lodge staff.
• Assist with staff training, development and performance management.
• Coordinate guest services and ensure guest needs are anticipated.
• Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the lodge.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues efficiently.
• Oversee stock control and general lodge administration.
• Assist with budgeting and cost awareness.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Liaise with suppliers and service providers as required.
• Coordinate across departments for smooth service delivery.
• Report to ownership or senior management on operations.
• Maintain attention to detail across guest areas.
