Job summary

Luxury Estate, Hotel & Spa near Somerset West is seeking a professional, service-driven Head Receptionist to lead their Front Office team. This key guest-facing leadership role requires delivering warm, personalised and seamless guest experiences in a luxury 5-star environment.

You will oversee the reception operation, support and guide the team, and ensure that all guest service, administrative and financial procedures are executed to the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Hospitality/front office qualification from a recognized institution.
• 3-5 years' experience in Front Office/Reception within a luxury or 4/5-star hotel environment.
• 1-2 years' experience in a senior receptionist, supervisory or similar Front Office leadership position.
• Protel experience will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Front Office procedures including check-in/check-out and billing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Reception operation during assigned shifts.
• Lead, supervise and support Reception team members.
• Act as senior point of contact in absence of Front Office Manager.
• Ensure guests receive a warm, professional and personalised welcome and farewell.
• Balance cash, manage floats and complete end-of-shift financial procedures.
• Maintain accurate shift handovers and administrative records.
