Job summary

Karen Tupper Recruitment is seeking a confident and service-oriented Front Desk Agent for a luxury 4-star hotel in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. You will handle guest check-ins/outs, reservations, and inquiries using Opera PMS.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of Front Desk experience, a hospitality qualification, excellent communication skills, and a professional, guest-focused demeanor. Flexible to work weekends and public holidays is required.

Qualifications

• South African citizenship is required.
• Matric / Grade 12 is required.
• Relevant hospitality qualification is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Front Desk / Reception role within a hotel.
• Proven working experience on Opera PMS is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are expected.
• Professional, well-groomed and guest-focused.
• Strong administration and organisational skills are required.
• Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in guests in a warm and professional manner.
• Process guest check-ins, check-outs and reservations using Opera PMS.
• Handle guest enquiries, requests and complaints efficiently.
• Ensure accurate guest information and billing.
• Manage payments and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Provide information regarding hotel facilities, services and local attractions.
• Maintain a high standard of service in line with the hotel’s 4-star standards.
• Follow all Front Office procedures and hotel policies.
