Greys Recruitment is seeking a Sales Assistant for a luxury fashion and apparel retailer opening a new store in Garden Mall, Cape Town CBD. You will welcome customers, offer styling advice, and drive sales while delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years retail experience, a passion for fashion, excellent communication, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Immediate availability and reliable transport to Garden Mall are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years' retail sales experience.
• Passion for fashion and customer service.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, confident and well-presented.
• Basic numerical and cash handling skills.
• Experience using a POS system is advantageous.
• Ability to work retail trading hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable transport to Garden Mall in Cape Town CBD.
• Available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide expert product knowledge and styling advice.
• Achieve individual and store sales targets.
• Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, pricing, and merchandising stock.
• Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and visually appealing.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards throughout the store.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory control.
• Help minimise stock losses by adhering to loss prevention procedures.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve concerns professionally.
• Support the Store Supervisor with daily operational requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the team to create a positive shopping environment.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
