Job summary

Ntice Search Solutions is seeking a highly organized Long Haul Coordinator to support distribution activities across South Africa. You will coordinate with third-party transport providers, track deliveries, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders to ensure efficient movement of goods.

You will analyse operational data, review transporter performance, and assist with pricing reviews while ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
• Experience in logistics or transport coordination is advantageous.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate third-party transporters to ensure correct vehicle numbers for loads.
• Assist planners with weekly delivery plans.
• Monitor transporters to meet load targets and track deliveries.
• Investigate and resolve customer and operational complaints.
• Maintain transport rates and support pricing reviews.
• Process transport invoices and resolve discrepancies.

Job description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Long Haul Coordinator to support the effective coordination of distribution activities across South Africa.

The successful candidate will coordinate with third-party transport providers, ensure efficient movement of goods, monitor delivery performance, analyse operational data, and maintain clear communication with all relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure the correct number of third-party vehicles are arranged for planned loads.
• Support planners with the preparation and updating of weekly delivery plans.
• Monitor and ensure third-party transporters consistently meet agreed load targets.
• Track and monitor all third-party deliveries while in transit.
• Ensure products are distributed accurately and within the required timeframes.
• Investigate customer and operational complaints and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain and update transport rates in accordance with fuel price changes.
• Analyse transporter performance and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
• Support future pricing reviews and participate in preferred-supplier processes.
• Ensure transport invoices are processed and paid on time, while resolving any discrepancies or disputes.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with third-party transport suppliers.
• Ensure transport claims relating to in-transit damages are investigated and closed out promptly.
• Liaise with the Loading Supervisor regarding loading plans and progress.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities relevant to the role as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• Previous logistics experience within the transport industry will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• SAP experience will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
