Placements24 is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor for a distribution center in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will lead a team of warehouse staff and drivers, oversee inbound and outbound flow, and ensure safe, efficient operations within the region.

The role requires hands-on leadership, a solid understanding of WMS and inventory control, and the ability to coordinate transport logistics to meet customer demand across Kimberley and the Northern Cape.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or logistics coordination.
• Proven experience in managing a warehouse team and operations, preferably in Kimberley.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Manage and motivate a team of warehouse operatives and delivery drivers.
• Ensure accurate inventory management through regular checks and cycle counts.
• Coordinate outbound logistics and delivery schedules to optimize efficiency and meet customer demands.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment and logistics software (WMS).
• Monitor operational performance and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Liaise with transport providers and internal teams to ensure smooth flow of goods.
• Handle any operational issues or emergencies that arise during shifts.
• Train new staff members on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent retail chain with a growing distribution network, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Logistics Supervisor for their distribution center in Kimberley, Northern Cape.
