About the Role

Our client, a well-established distribution network, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Logistics Dispatcher to manage the coordination of deliveries from their Kimberley distribution center. This role is central to ensuring the efficient and timely dispatch of goods to customers across the Northern Cape. You will be responsible for managing driver schedules, optimizing delivery routes, and maintaining clear communication channels between drivers, customers, and warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of logistics operations, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. This is a key role in supporting our operational excellence within Kimberley and the broader Northern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily deliveries for a fleet of vehicles operating out of Kimberley.
• Assign routes to drivers based on efficiency, delivery windows, and driver availability.
• Monitor driver progress throughout the day using dispatch software and GPS tracking.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support.
• Address and resolve any issues that arise during the dispatch and delivery process.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatches, deliveries, and driver activities.
• Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure orders are picked and ready for dispatch.
• Provide customer service by responding to inquiries regarding delivery status.
