About the Role

Our client, a key player in the wine and spirits distribution sector, is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor with a strong focus on inventory management for their Paarl, Western Cape operations. This role is vital for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficient flow of inventory within the warehouse. The Logistics Supervisor will oversee a team responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods, with a particular emphasis on maintaining precise stock records and implementing robust inventory control measures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, with a primary focus on inventory accuracy and control.


• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff involved in receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch.


• Implement and enforce inventory management procedures, including cycle counting and stock reconciliation.


• Ensure accurate recording of all inventory movements within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).


• Monitor stock levels and flag any potential shortages or overstock situations to management.


• Maintain high standards of warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety.


• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to optimize inventory flow.


• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.


• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements for enhanced inventory management.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and operational regulations in Paarl, Western Cape.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role, with demonstrated expertise in inventory management.


• Strong understanding of WMS functionalities and proficiency in using inventory control techniques.
