About the Role

Our client, a significant player in the Logistics & Warehousing sector, is seeking an experienced and diligent Logistics Operations Supervisor for their bustling hub in Johannesburg, Gauteng . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day management of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain principles, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to optimize workflow and productivity. You will be responsible for supervising a team of warehouse staff, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all logistical processes within the Johannesburg facility. This is a hands-on role requiring active participation in overseeing operations and problem-solving on the floor. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Solid understanding of warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory control principles.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a demanding operational environment.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, as operational demands require.
