Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (Logistics) to lead distribution and supply chain operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will manage warehouses, optimize transport networks, and drive efficiency across the logistics function.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of logistics/ops experience, with a proven track record in cost control and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, SCM, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years of logistics and operations management experience.
• Experience in warehouse management, inventory control and transportation management.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices and relevant software.
• Excellent leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the company's logistics and supply chain operations.
• Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, receiving and shipping.
• Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and delivery times.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational expenses.
• Lead and develop the logistics team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain flow.
