Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Logistics Dispatcher or in a similar transportation coordination role.
• Strong understanding of transportation logistics, route planning, and scheduling.
• Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and relevant communication tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple dispatches simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of trucks and drivers for local and long-haul deliveries.
• Assign loads to drivers based on route efficiency, driver availability, and delivery requirements.
• Monitor driver performance and location using GPS tracking systems, ensuring adherence to schedules.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding dispatch status and potential delays.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during transit, such as delays, breakdowns, or customer issues.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, including delivery times, mileage, and driver logs.
