Placements24 is seeking a Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate transport and delivery schedules from the Paarl facility. You will manage drivers, troubleshoot transit issues, and act as the link between warehouse, transport, and customers to keep logistics operations running smoothly.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics dispatch or a similar role.
Familiarity with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for driver and customer interaction.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
Knowledge of local geography and transport networks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule daily delivery routes for a fleet of vehicles.
Assign tasks to drivers, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
Monitor driver progress and communicate delays or issues to customers and internal teams.
Maintain accurate records of dispatches, deliveries, and driver activities.
Respond to and resolve operational issues or emergencies during dispatch operations.
Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and company policies for drivers.
