Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Logistics Dispatcher to manage scheduling and vehicle movements from our Nelspruit facility, ensuring on-time shipments and clear communication with drivers and customers. This hybrid role blends on-site coordination with remote planning.

You will optimize routes, monitor performance, and maintain dispatch records, with a focus on cost efficiency and problem-solving under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a logistics dispatcher, transport coordinator, or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws, regulations, and delivery routes in the Nelspruit area.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and communication systems.
• Effective problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers and vehicles for timely deliveries and pick-ups.
• Monitor driver performance and adherence to schedules, addressing deviations proactively.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including delivery confirmations and driver logs.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse personnel, and customer service teams regarding shipment status.
• Optimize routing and load assignments to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Respond to operational challenges and emergencies, implementing solutions to minimize disruption.
