Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in the fresh produce export industry.
• Willingness to work after hours during peak season (December - March).
• Professional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.

Responsibilities

• Logistics planning, documentation from point of loading to final destination.
• Maintain and update transport and shipping information.
• Stock control and liaise with clients and industry stakeholders.

LEADING TABLE GRAPE PRODUCER-EXPORTER IN PAARL, WESTERN CAPE IS LOOKING FOR A DYNAMIC TEAM PLAYER WITH EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL SKILLS.

IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS STRONG PLANNING & ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS, WITH THE ABILITY TO MULTI-TASK WHILE MAINTAINING HIGH LEVELS OF ACCURACY AND THRIVES IN A HIGH-PRESSURE ENVIRONMENT.

REPORTING TO THE LOGISTICS & MARKETING MANAGER AS PART OF A SMALL TEAM.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• LOGISTICS PLANNING, INSTRUCTIONS, DOCUMENTATION FROM POINT OF LOADING TO FINAL DESTINATION
• MAINTAIN AND UPDATE TRANSPORT & SHIPPING INFORMATION
• STOCK CONTROL
• LIAISE WITH RELEVANT CLIENT & INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS AND THIRD PARTIES MONITORING & REPORTING ON ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION ALL OTHER TASKS RELATED TO THE ROLE (EXPORT & LOCAL)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• RELEVANT TERTIARY QUALIFICATION
• 3/5 YEARS’ EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE IN THE FRESH PRODUCE EXPORT INDUSTRY
• KNOWLEDGE OF VITRAX & OX SYSTEMS (OR SIMILAR)
• EXCELLENT COMPUTER SKILLS, SPECIFICALLY MICROSOFT EXCEL CAPABLE OF ADAPTING TO A RAPIDLY CHANGING WORK ENVIRONMENT AND MEET DEADLINES WHILE MAINTAINING ATTENTION TO DETAIL EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS
• WILLINGNESS TO WORK AFTER HOURS DURING PEAK SEASON (DEC – MAR)
• PROFESSIONAL WRITTEN & VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN BOTH ENGLISH &
• AFRIKAANS
• ADDITIONAL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE ADVANTAGEOUS (DALRRD APPLICATIONS/Q67/TITAN)
