Job summary

Network Recruitment is seeking a skilled Logistics Export Controller to manage end-to-end export logistics for international sea freight shipments. You will coordinate container bookings, schedules, export documentation and liaise with shipping lines and overseas clients to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in logistics/export roles with strong knowledge of export docs, customs procedures and freight forwarding. Maritime law knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, export or freight coordination.
• Knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures, shipping regulations and freight forwarding.
• Maritime law knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Our client is a well-established South African producer and exporter of natural stone products, supplying customers across international markets. With a strong global footprint and a high-volume export operation, they are recognised for delivering quality products worldwide and maintaining efficient logistics processes to support their growing international customer base.

Manage the end-to-end export logistics process for international sea freight shipments. Coordinate container bookings, shipping schedules, export documentation, customs requirements, freight forwarding activities, and customer communication. Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, ports, and overseas clients while ensuring timely delivery, compliance with regulations, cost control, and efficient movement of approximately 150 containers per month.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Minimum 5 years' experience in a logistics, shipping, export, or freight coordination role. Proven experience managing sea freight exports and international container shipments. Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs procedures, shipping regulations, and freight forwarding. Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Shipping, or a related field. Maritime law knowledge, certification, or qualification will be advantageous but is not essential.
