Job summary

The Road Accident Fund is seeking a Logistics and Procurement professional in Cape Town to maintain and optimize the flow of goods, assets and information across the division. You will implement planning, control and cost-effective processes to meet internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities include needs assessment, supplier vetting, value-for-money assessments, asset disposal, fleet support and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in logistics, supply chain, or a finance-related field.
• 3 years’ experience in logistics management or a related environment.
• Experience in asset disposal administration is preferred.
• Experience in procurement/supply chain management within state-owned enterprises is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Draft needs assessment and forecast future needs aligned with the division’s budget.
• Assess value-for-money from quotations and ensure PFMA and Treasury compliance.
• Coordinate asset disposal processes and reconciliation reporting.
• Support fleet management, asset records, and servicing schedules.
• Prepare and submit regulatory and performance reports.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships with vendors and service providers.
