About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and efficient Logistics and Shipping Clerk to support their operations in Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth processing of shipments, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and assisting in the overall management of inbound and outbound logistics. This hybrid position requires a balance of on-site duties for operational tasks and remote flexibility for administrative responsibilities. You will play a key role in ensuring that goods are dispatched and received accurately and on time, contributing significantly to the company's supply chain efficiency. Your attention to detail will be critical in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and prepare shipping documents, including waybills, invoices, and customs forms.
• Coordinate with trucking companies and other carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Track shipments and provide status updates to internal departments and external clients.
• Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantities and quality against orders.
• Organize and maintain inventory records, ensuring accuracy in the warehouse management system.
• Assist in managing shipping supplies and ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipping and logistics matters.
• Ensure compliance with company shipping policies and procedures.
• Operate standard office equipment and shipping tools.
• Support the logistics team with various administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a logistics, shipping, or warehousing role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with shipping software or inventory management systems is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
