Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking a young, dynamic Lodge Management Couple for an intimate safari lodge near Ligwangwa. This role requires strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, proactiveness and the ability to multitask in a remote, guest‑facing environment.

You will lead the on‑site operations, manage staff and guest relations, oversee F&B and maintenance, ensure safety and budget adherence, and partner with head office to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Must have formal hospitality or lodge management qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of high-end safari lodge management experience.
• Professional demeanour, mature and well-presented.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest in nature and the lodge location; wine/food knowledge a plus.
• Experience in staff management and labour relations; multitasking ability and attention to detail.

Job description

Intimate Safari Lodge based close to Ligwangwa, Malawi is looking for a young; dynamic and energetic Lodge Management Couple. This role demands strong leadership ; meticulous attention to detail, proactiveness ; the ability to multitask effectively and a steadfast dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Duties

• Effectively lead the on-the-ground operational team in alignment with group’s core values and company policies.
• Maintain strong communication with the team and across all levels of management to ensure cohesive operations.
• Deliver and maintain high standards to ensure each guest has a memorable stay.
• Oversee security, health, and safety, adhering to all company procedures and SOPs.
• Implement and control budgetary systems in conjunction with the head office management team.
• Proactively plan for smooth lodge operations, coordinating with support departments.
• Ensure the lodge and back-of-house operations maintain constant high standards and run effectively.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle challenges and resolve issues promptly in a remote and dynamic environment.
• Maintenance experience for one partner required while the other will be strong on F&B / food standards and menu planning

Requirements

• Grade 12
• A formal hospitality / lodge management qualification
