Job summary

HotelJobs is seeking a professional, detail‑driven Assistant Lodge Manager to support daily operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience in a live‑in role.

The position is based in the North West, offering a 3 weeks on / 1 week off rotation, meals included while on duty, and reports to the General Manager. Salary is R15,000 per month, with a strong focus on guest service and staff coordination.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a 4/5-star lodge.
• Excellent communication and administrative skills.
• Strong staff management ability.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
• Computer literate.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Hosting and engaging with guests throughout their stay.
• Managing check-ins and check-outs.
• Stock control and placing orders across departments.
• Working closely with the Lodge Manager on daily operations.
• Conducting thorough room checks before guest arrivals.
• Overseeing staff and ensuring smooth workflow.
• Managing the lodge in the absence of the Lodge Manager.
