HotelJobs seeks an Assistant Lodge Manager for a 5* safari lodge in Limpopo, South Africa. Must be a South African citizen with at least three years in lodge/hotel management and strong leadership for a guest-centric operation.

The role is full-time, live-in, with shifts including weekends/public holidays. Relevant qualifications and health-safety certification are advantageous. Salary is commensurate with experience and market norms.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field.
• Health and safety or first aid certification is advantageous.
• Minimum education: National Senior Certificate.
• Preferred further education in hospitality or tourism.
• Experience in lodge or hotel management preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist in managing lodge operations including accommodation, F&B, and guest activities.
• Supervise and develop lodge team to maintain high service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.
• Monitor inventory and equipment with relevant departments for smooth operation.
• Contribute to sales and marketing strategies to boost occupancy and revenue.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control within the lodge.
• Ensure cleanliness and presentation of rooms and communal areas.
• Support recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
• Maintain records relating to daily operations, guest numbers, and financial transactions.
