Job summary

Assistant Lodge Manager is needed in Limpopo, South Africa. The role supports the Lodge Manager in daily operations, staff supervision, guest services, and maintaining high standards across the lodge.

This permanent, full-time position requires hospitality management education and several years in lodge or hotel settings, with live-in rotation and flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate or equivalent.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Health and safety certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all aspects of lodge operations including accommodation, food and beverage services, and guest activities.
• Supervise, motivate and develop the lodge team to deliver high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and manage inventory, supplies and equipment across departments.
• Contribute to sales and marketing strategies to enhance guest occupancy and revenue.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Assist in preparing budgets, monitoring financial performance and controlling costs.
