Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in Fleet Planning and control within a long-distance logistics/courier division.
• Experience in line haul management and diesel consumption control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a fleet of vehicles, ensure efficient routing, maintenance, driver management and regulatory compliance.
• Plan, manage and optimise line haul schedules for timely deliveries and resource use.
• Monitor vehicle movements and adherence to routes and schedules.
• Collaborate with dispatchers, fleet controllers and branch managers for seamless operations.
• Ensure line haul fleet is well-maintained, compliant and operationally efficient.
• Coordinate with workshop for routine services and breakdown resolution.
• Track fleet utilisation and fuel efficiency to drive cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
• Lead and motivate line haul drivers and support staff for high performance.
• Foster teamwork across operations and communicate with customers as needed.
• Address service issues promptly and provide regular updates to senior management.
