Placements24 in East London is seeking a vibrant Leisure Center Activity Coordinator to develop, manage and lead a diverse range of recreational and sporting activities for the community.

You will plan programs, recruit and supervise staff and volunteers, ensure safety, manage registrations, and promote activities to the local community, with flexibility for evenings and weekends in East London.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating recreational programs or managing activities in Leisure & Sports settings.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vibrant and organized Leisure Center Activity Coordinator to develop, manage, and lead a diverse range of recreational and sporting activities at their facility in East London . This role is key to ensuring our community members have access to engaging, safe, and enjoyable experiences. You will be responsible for program planning, participant engagement, and coordinating staff and volunteers to deliver exceptional leisure services within the Leisure & Sports sector, fostering a positive and active environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate a variety of recreational programs and activities for different age groups and interests.
• Recruit, train, and supervise instructors, facilitators, and volunteers.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe and organized manner, adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
• Manage program registrations, equipment inventory, and supply needs.
• Promote activities through various channels to maximize community participation.
• Gather feedback from participants to continuously improve program offerings.
