About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and reliable Leisure Center Facilities Supervisor to manage the operational upkeep and maintenance of their popular leisure facility in Port Elizabeth . This role is hands-on, requiring diligent oversight of all facility aspects to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for members and staff. You will be responsible for coordinating maintenance schedules, managing minor repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and overseeing cleaning staff. This position is key to maintaining the high standards and smooth functioning of the leisure center.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily maintenance and operational activities of the leisure center facilities.
• Ensure all areas of the facility are clean, safe, and well-maintained according to health and safety regulations.
• Schedule and oversee regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and prompt repairs of equipment and building infrastructure.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance materials, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance or repair work.
• Lead and motivate a small team of cleaning and maintenance staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in facilities management, maintenance supervision, or a similar operational role, preferably in a leisure or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, safety procedures, and health regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage a small team effectively and delegate tasks appropriately.
