Job summary

Rosebank College is seeking a lecturer to teach and mentor students across information systems and computer science modules in Bloemfontein. The role involves preparing assessments, tracking student progress, and engaging with the academic team to improve teaching outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s (or Honours with research) and has experience in research methods and supervision of postgraduate work.

Qualifications

Master's degree in information systems/computer science or information technology with a research component.
Honours degree in information systems/computer science/information technology with a Master’s or related field and a research component.
Lecturing experience in research methods and design; supervision of postgraduate students preferred.
Experience supervising research proposals, data collection, analysis and academic writing.

Responsibilities

Deliver lectures based on module pacers and requirements.
Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
Identify at-risk students and develop assessments in coordination with academic teams.
Support and participate in academic meetings across faculties.
Reflect on and analyse student module results and progress.
Assist in monitoring at-risk students and contributing to teaching–learning practice.
