Cape Peninsula University of Technology invites applications for a Lecturer/Junior Lecturer in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) on a 6-month contract. The role focuses on lecturing and mentoring in the Civil Engineering & Geomatics Department at the Bellville campus, with a strong emphasis on delivering quality lectures and developing innovative teaching materials.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Civil Engineering with a structural specialty or are registered for a Master’s.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with specialisation in Structural Engineering or equivalent, relevant to the Civil Engineering programme.
• At least 2 years’ relevant teaching experience in higher education and/or 2 years’ industrial experience in Civil Engineering.
• Honours Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering. Must be registered for Masters in the area of study.
• At least 1 year’s relevant teaching experience in higher education and/or 1 year’s industrial experience in Civil Engineering.
