Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structural engineering). All base qualifications must be in Civil Engineering.
• At least 2 years’ relevant teaching experience in higher education and/or 2 years’ industrial experience in Civil Engineering.
• Must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lecturing in Civil Engineering subjects.
• Develop, contribute and generate new knowledge through research outputs.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Develop innovative teaching, learning and assessment materials.
• Contribute to curriculum and programme development.
• Promote community participation, linkages, outreach and industry liaison.
• Support assessment and academic development activities.
• Perform and assist with academic administrative duties.
• Ensure and participate in quality assurance practices within the Department.
• Proven ability to deliver structured, high-quality lectures.
