Job Purpose

• Teach on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes a combination of the following subjects: MechatronicControl Systems, Mechatronic System Design & Simulation, Electrotechnology, Electronic Devices and Systems,Computer Engineering, Electrotechnology, Mechatronic Design, Process Control & Industrial Networking and otherMechatronics Engineering related subjects as required.
• Conduct research and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum requirements: Senior Lecturer

• A Doctoral Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with demonstration of capability of handling Electromechanical Systems or Electrical Engineering with demonstration of capability of Mechanical equipment.
• All base qualifications (Diploma or its equivalent and Bachelor) must be Mechatronics Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• At least four (4) years lecturing experience or four (4) years relevant industrial experience.
• Demonstrable ability to teach Mechatronic Control Systems, Mechatronic System Design & Simulation and other Mechatronics Engineering related subjects as required.
• Demonstrable track record in postgraduate supervision.
• Demonstrable ability to carry out research as evidenced by a publication in accredited journals.
• Must be registered with ECSA as a professional engineer or professional engineering technologist.
• A Master's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with demonstration of capability of handling Electromechanical Systems or Electrical Engineering with demonstration of capability of Mechanical equipment.
• All base qualifications (Diploma or its equivalent and Bachelor) must be Mechatronics Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• At least two (2) years lecturing experience or two (2) years relevant industrial experience.
