Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer to drive efficiency at their Mahikeng facility. You will lead lean initiatives, implement Kaizen events, 5S, and Kanban systems while delivering training on lean principles and continuously improving production performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and at least five years in lean/CI roles, with strong data analysis and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Five years in lean manufacturing or CI role expected.
• Demonstrated success implementing lean programs.
• Proficiency with lean tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and PM skills.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead waste elimination across production processes using lean tools.
• Implement lean initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, VSM, Kanban).
• Develop and deliver training on lean principles.
• Analyze production data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain lean improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and report effectiveness to management.
