Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer with a Lean Manufacturing specialization in the Gauteng region. The role targets streamlining operations, boosting productivity and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the plant.

The ideal candidate will drive waste elimination, optimize workflows, and collaborate with production teams to design efficient layouts while ensuring safety and quality standards throughout the site in Tembisa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience implementing lean principles in production.
• Certified Lean Professional or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement and champion lean manufacturing tools and techniques (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Kanban).
• Analyze current production processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Develop action plans for process improvement focusing on waste reduction and quality.
