Job summary

Placements24 currently seeks an Industrial Engineer to join a food and beverage manufacturing client in Gauteng. The role focuses on analyzing workflows, reducing waste, and boosting productivity across all processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include implementing Lean improvements, conducting time studies, developing SOPs, and collaborating with production teams to drive KPIs and continuous improvement across operations in Tembisa, Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in industrial engineering, preferably FMCG.
• Practical Lean Manufacturing experience and tools.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes to identify bottlenecks and reduce costs.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize tasks and workflows.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to implement changes and gather feedback.
• Track KPIs related to productivity, yield and waste; report progress.
• Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
