Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a practical and analytical Industrial Engineer to join our East London plant operations team. You will analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize resource use and reduce costs.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with 3-5 years in manufacturing, knowledge of lean principles, CAD layout skills, and strong analytical abilities to drive operational excellence on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on plant operations and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools, such as 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plant production processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend and implement solutions for efficiency gains.
• Develop and optimize plant layouts, workflows, and material handling systems to improve productivity and safety.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish production standards and identify opportunities for work simplification.
• Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
• Collaborate closely with production supervisors and operators to implement process changes and gather feedback.
• Track and report on key plant performance indicators (KPIs) and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
